Bye Big Bro, Bye.

It's the second last day in Paris. I'm so sad.

First day, Wednesday-In culture shock.

Second day, Thursday-Excited to be in Paris.

Second day I sort of stayed indoors and did not go out. I didn't really feel well because when I came here, I was sick. And apparently, I passed the bug to Lena so... ditto for her. We were in the kitchen most of the time. It was going to be Lebaran (Hari Raya is in Malay. Lebaran is in Indonesian.) Ombai was cooking a lot in the kitchen. She was doing her Palembang-style dishes (Delicious!) we did a lot of cut-here-stir-there-slice-and-dice-this-wash-that. It's very smelly. And greasy. Ha-ha! It's ok, because it was scrumptious. Worth the fat.

Third day, Friday, we went sight-seeing with Aunty Alis. She showed us around. We went to the Eiffel Tower and wanted to go up there. Ugh, tetapi impianku tidak tercapai. It was dumb. Of course, on a Friday afternoon it would be pack. I think. Wait a minute, these people don't go to work or something?

As we looked around, we found that it was because of the Rugby World Cup held in France this year. France (Les Bleus) would be going against England (The Rose) on Saturday night. It was a great experience. Semangat gila mereka semua.

After going to the Eiffel Tower, we took the bus to go to the train station to get to Notre-Dame. Translation : Our Lady. Who is the "lady" they're referring to? I have no clue. But I'm sure it's someone important. (Could be France, you know... as the "Lady". Or the Vigin Mary. I'm not really sure.)

The building itself was located near some kind of university or college of Sorbonne. A lot of students were seen passing by here and there. The bros did their "checking out". And so did the sistas. Lol.

But really, I gotta say that I would've thought that these French people would be more courteous and whatever, but no they aren't really. Well, there are some who are still courteous but the majority... are rude. Super rude. I mean, they would be the ones who bump into you but then growl and grumble at you as though you had bumped into them. Just because we're shorter than them. Sheesh. Dumbasses. They will say pardon, but not in a sincere way. Teruk siot.

An
yways, in between the walk to the Notre-Dame, we passed by Starbucks and decided that we wanted a Paris mug. Big Bro had bought us a Starbucks Canada mug from Ottawa. And we already have the Kuala Lumpur mug from our mom. I wonder if Jenna could buy us one from India. Are there any Starbucks in India? If yes, Jenna, when you read this, you know what I want. Hehehehe.

When we reached the old, sacred building, we took a lot of pictures there. Inside, it's quite dark and a bit gloomy. But beautiful. The colors of the stained glasses, the "ancient" feeling you get when you're inside, the lit candles placed almost everywhere... It was nice to see. Th building was built long, long ago back when Malaysia was dijajah-ed oleh British. At least I think so. My history after SPM teruk ok?

We did a lot of walking around, which is good because we did a lot of "eating" around. I seriously feel that if we hadn't walked around for hours everyday, I would have gained a lot of weight. I keep on eating and eating and eating here. Eating all the food that we can't really get in Malaysia either because it's hard to get, or because it's expensive.

I still think I gained a few pounds because of all the eating. I can't help thinking about it.... I'm a girl. Most girls do think about it. Those who don't think about it are either in denial, already skinny, fit or super confident in themselves. I hate being a yo-yo. (Means I hate going up and down all the time.)
After visiting Notre-Dame, we headed home. Ate Ombai's scrumptious dishes and slept happily.

I have to make my blogs short because my time here is limited and I don't want to waste it all on blogging. Blogging, I can do in Malaysia. Exploring Paris, on the other hand, I can't do while in Malaysia.

My Bro would be leaving for Canada in three hours time. I'm sad. I rarely get to see him. He's too stubborn to come back to Malaysia. He loves, lives and breathes Canada. Don't blame him. It's a good country. The way he speaks highly of it makes me want to move there, too. Malaysia has its ups and downs. But I can't separate from Malaysia. No matter how badly I want to leave, I just can't. I guess you could say I'm a bit patriotic. Hahaha.

Adioz!
