NOTtingham Games

Hey Reader,
I feel so tired and crappy. My whole body is sore. Both my knees are pretty bruised up (The color is like yellow, blue and purple - my fav color! -haha!~)

And my right foot is still killing me. It's like a vein or nerve or whatever (I don't know the real name for it. Maybe I'll ask one of my Medic sisters..) is like really tegang!! Sakit jugak you know.

When I was playing yesterday (which I'm not going to elaborate much because we didn't do good. A lot of us were injured and some were inexperienced. Team Aber = Win 1; Draw 1; Lost 5) I was okay at first.
But later on when I slipped a lot of times because my shoes had not much grip on it (I even did a split in the middle of the game! That was painful...) and after a few more games my legs couldn't take the running anymore. From being the Goal Attacker, I just became the Goal Shooter which required less movement than a Goal Attacker. T_T

In the last few games, all our injured players wanted to play just for fun. So we had a lot of laughs with our opponents and eventually made friends with some of them. They were nice people. And some also had last minute trainings and practices as well (which could only mean they've played this sport before because they played like PROS!)

The bus ride back home was tiring. There were no heaters turned on. We had no blankets. The seats were too near to each other and the lights couldn't be turned off for us to catch up on our snooze deprivation.

Everyone each walked like zombies back to their designated accommodations. The funny thing was that there were other people dressed up as zombies (there was even a Dr. Zombie who looked really freaky... good job whoever you are.. And that masked person from the movie Scream and Scary Movie.. that guy was frightening a bit because it was like 12am in the night and he was like shouting scary sounds and jumping at us while going downhill - we were going uphill so we crossed paths with them, to our dismay - and dragging our things that we brought to Nottingham.)

So, anyway, I woke up early today around 9.30am because my body ache and I couldn't really sleep with the massive wind blowing outside. Scary!! Sounded like a hurricane was coming or something. Sheesh!~

It's really dark outside so I'm predicting a downpour sometime in the afternoon (I hope I'm wrong! Prove me wrong, please!) so I better stay indoors today. Which is good because I can do some light reading on some of my Law books (I hope I don't sleep instead due to the cool weather. heehee.)

Alrighty, I wanna go eat my BReakfast + lUNCH=BRUNCH.. how genius of me to concoct such an equation! :p

Nottingham Games 2009

Dear Reader,

tonight I will be leaving for Nottingham for the Nottingham Games 2009 around 2a.m. in the dead of night.
I can't wait!!
Waited so long for this. Although, I've injured my right foot (I can barely walk now. I'm mostly limping my way to classes and when climbing the stairs, too.) I know that I can play. When I'm concentrating and putting my full attention on the game, I won't feel the pain. The pain comes after the end of every game (Which is sometimes excruciatingly painful!) where at that time I wouldn't even be bothered with anything but my foot.

It had gotten worse when I tripped during practice and I slipped on a slippery path when walking to class (Turns out it doesn't have a good grip, Anwar. *sob*) and I sprained it again during practice.
Three of my friends Jasmine, Eu Jin and Sate tried to massage it. So far so good it was ok when I slept yesterday night.

But when I went for practice again this morning, the pain came back. Freakishly annoying, man!!

But I'm just trying to cope with it. I only have until tomorrow so I hope it won't worsen until after the Nottingham Games!

Yesterday I paid my accommodation fees. I was so happy at first because I thought I had to pay lesser than expected, but it turns out that it wasn't because it was charged on a two-month instalment rather than the three-month plan I was hoping for. They said it was because I missed the deadline.

The funny thing was, I didn't even know there was even a deadline. Because I checked over the internet that the instalments are due in November, January and April. The system here is so stupid! Now, they charged me "two-months" worth of instalments... and the last instalment will be due in January.

It's totally crap!

Now, I really really really have to watch my expenses. Even more than before. And the previous "budget-watch" was bogus because of the one-too-many unforeseen expenses.
And I still haven't bought my statute books because it's out of stock.

OK.......

I wanna rest now. I have class at 4.10pm and I have Netball strategy meeting at 6pm. And later at night I might be helping Jasmine out to make sandwiches that we'll be bringing to the Nottingham Games. And after that............. 1.50am we'll be meeting at the designated pick-up destination. 2am we'll be leaving.

Wish us luck okay, Dear Reader!

Ruined Castle.

Hey Reader,
(Song playing: Hallelujah - Paramore)
today was a very, very, very productive day for me. I was like out the whole day! (Thank God! I can't stand being cooped up in my room just reading. Who reads on a Saturday? Anti-socialists and bookworms do, and I swear that I don't wanna be that because I was just that in Malaysia. I'm trying to change here... "Trying" would be the subject matter here.)

(Song playing: Uninvited - Alanis Morsette.)
in the morning I woke up late. I woke up to the sound of the doorbell... from none other than Tasya. (Yikes! It's been two times in a week she's been doing that. I'm so sorry Tasya!)

Anyway, they were doing some shopping for Balqis's birthday, which is tomorrow by the way, and I totally ruined the plan. To make the story short... I need a frickin UK number!! It's so hard to get around and communicate with people without it. The other day, I had to wait til Izzet went online to text message Tasya to tell her that I was safe at home. OMG, that was hard.
I might be getting a number tomorrow or next week because I think it's really hard without it. I've budgeted my money I think it'll be okay.

(Song playing: Superman - Dave Matthews Band.)
My friends are so nice that they wanna help me get a number. They are really helpful people.

(Song playing: Beautiful Disaster - 311.)
Yikes... look at the playlist here. I'm really typing slow here. Actually, it's because I'm uploading pictures on FB. Don't forget to check it out. It's under my "C:\ABER_FILES".

Anyways, we went to Morrisons and we also went to town. It was a good day. I only spent about L3 today which is ok because last week I've only spent about L5. Good huh? I've budgeted to spend only L10 a week on groceries. I'm doing not bad. I'm proud of myself. And my friends have been helpful because they remind me not to go over-budget. :D

So, after going into town, the HELP students were having this combined birthday celebration down near the ruined castle area (It's an awesome view there!! I know if Lena were here she would think it a great spot to use her DSLR, right? hehe.).

(Song playing: If The Rain Must Fall - James Morrison.)
OMG!!! My favorite song!! hehe.

So, we took tons of pictures there. Then we headed to the celebration area. Then me and Tasya was a bit tired and we wanted to catch the last bus for the day or else we'd have to walk all the way uphill, which we are too tired to do (Thank goodness for the bus card that we applied for. It's so easy to get around nowadays!) so we took the bus. We were lucky because it was one of the last ones to leave the port.

I don't know why but me and Tasya have been really close to HELP students instead of the BAC students. It's so weird because we don't even go to the same college in Malaysia, but yet we act as though we've known them for some time already. It's really refreshing to meet people who are genuinely willing to accept you even though you are an outsider.

(Song playing: This Circle - Paramore.)
I love the drums in this song. I LOVE ZAC FARRO!!!

So, I was supposed to stay back til 12am to wish Balqis on her birthday. But I didn't think it would be good for me because I had to walk all the 5 minutes to my place alone after 12am. My place is kind of spooky at night because it's near bushes and stuff. And I tend to humm to myself out loud when walking there alone at night (even around 8pm or so...) because I wanted to keep my mind from thinking silly things. My mind likes to play tricks on me, so I get freaked out easily. So, when I humm I won't feel that scared.
The others had offered to walk me back, but I politely declined. Plus, I just couldn't wait to jump on my bed......and..... BLOG! LOL! That's the anti-social part of me coming out. :p

(Song playing: Open Car - Porcupine Tree.)
Awesome off-beat song, this is.

Ok, I'm tired. I haven't finished uploading my pictures yet. I figured I should just finish blogging first then I'll upload more.

By the way, my friends wana go for Beyonce's concert in Birmingham.. it costs about L20++ I think. I'm still pondering about it. It's kind of expensive... I was waiting for Paramore's but turns out their concert is sold out in Cardiff. CRAP!!!! Maybe I'll try again next year. *SOB SOB*

So, maybe I will go for Beyonce's concert, I'm not sure. I'm not a fan, but I do like some of her songs.

(Song playing: I'm With You - Avril Lavigne.)
I have to look for a job soon. Greg went job hunting just now. He told me that Morrisons' hiring and in dire need of employees. I don't think I'd mind working there (It's a supermarket, by the way.) because I really need a job. And who knows, I might even get discounts on the foods there? Heehee.

Ok, I'm heading off now. Gotta finish uploading.

Take care people!

Love,

Leanna Darwin.

Sing Like You've Never Sang Before

Dear Reader,

I came back from RedBox about 2 hours ago. Haha. We karaoke-ed for 7 hours. I think all of us have sore throats now. I drank plenty of water just now.

Tomorrow would be another day of fasting. One of the last few days left for this year. I feel kind of sad, though. I kind of like fasting. It somehow clears my mind and forces me no to think about food and allows me focus on other matters at hand.

It also helps people to lose weight. Here are some of the people I know who lost some weight over puasa month:-

Mommy - 3 kg
Daddy - 3 kg
Aunty Nurie - 2 kg (Can't recall.)
Jenna - More than 3 kg
Lena - 1 kg
Ritz - 3 kg
Tok Mum - 3 kg

I don't know about Tok Wan and Anwar. I'm sure they'd prolly shed some weight.

If you wanna know how much I lost... tough luck! 'Cause I ain't sayin' nuthin'. :p

I think it's amazing how they could lose so much in just one month. Don't you think so?

Anyways, we buka in RedBox and I gotta say that the food there (All you can eat!) is delicious. There was sushi, dimsum, pasta, chicken, fish, seafood, duck, burger, cakes, puddings and even ice cream.

Boy, did I gave my fill. I was really full. It was fun. Mommy, Dina, Mael, Jenna, Lena and I had such a blast. Singing like crazy psychopaths. Well, except for Mael. He's such a pro. His voice is such a dream. I seriously felt inferior towards him because of his voice. I couldn't sing properly for I feared him criticizing me. But it never happened, so I guess I kinda relaxed a bit on that part, and enjoyed the evening without caring what he thought about my singing.

Oh, in case you didn't know, Mael is Intan's close friend from Manipal College.

Okay, I gotta go now. I'm really tired. And my throat feels really sore. Ugh!~ The pain. The horror.

Take care.

Sincerely,

Leanna Darwin.

Time Is Limited

Dear Reader,

I have but 15 minutes only to blog this in. So let's hit it, Babe!

Ok, so this morning for sahur we ate at McD in SS15. The four of us with Mommy. We ate the Big Breakfast meal, Sausage Egg McMuffin meal and Hot Cakes. Delicious!~
My mouth is watering just thinking about it.
NOoOoOoOoOo!~ Still 3 and a half hours to go until buka! It's okay. I can do it. I CAN DO IT!

Alright, so after we ate we went back. The fuel was running low so we all rolled down the window to save fuel. Or something like that.

We reached the apartment, and Ritz slept. Lena and I jammed with the accoustic version of some songs we know and like. Jenna joined in only for a while until she dozed off in her room. We were in her room. Played, while she was asleep. Lol.

Hmmmm.. what else did I do today? Oh right! I played the internet for a while at KJ.
Yup, that's right, dear Reader, there's internet for a while because Daddy let us borrow his Celcom broadband thingy. The connection sucks! It's good sometimes, but awful most of the time!

Today, we went to Parade to buy our Raya shoes. And guess what? I bought NEW glasses!! YAY for me!!!~ Finally. My old glasses is just plain yucky! Get ready to see a "new" me. Hehe. Not really a change. Still purple in color. ;)

Lena bought new ones, too. Sibuk je minah tu. LOL. Sorry, Lena. I'd like to thank my big bro for giving me the invoice cash thingy worth rm51.50. Since I'm really broke, that invoice cash thingy really helped me BIG TIME! Thanks, Anwar!

Oooooh yeah, before I forget. Just now someone broke into our car at the apartment. The window behind the driver's seat was slightly open. Didn't realize that it was big enough to fir a person's hand. We all know we had locked the door after McD's, so when we saw that the doors were unlocked and there might've been a handprint on the window, we knew our car was broken into. Luckily, there was nothing of value in the car.
Unless, you find couple of worthless one cents in the coin box and empty wallet in the glove compartment, you'd think that it was all a waste of time and effort. We were lucky that nothing was stolen. Phew!~

Times up!

Going to RedBox after this. Buka at Pyramid and then we go karaoke. Hehe. Until 3 am! Probably.

Oh, and I have to pick up my glasses, too.
Take care, dear Reader.

Sincerely,

Leanna Darwin.
XOXO

Get Off Of Me, Burden!

4 A.P. (After Paris).. Had the worst jetlag!!

It sucks! We get to finally sleep at 3am. Even if we don't get enough sleep and get as tired as hell, we still can only sleep at 3am. Strange isn't it? Lets see... 3am local time is 9pm Paris time.

Strange.... we usually sleep around 11pm in Paris. Well, that also depends on whether we went out during the day. Or not, we would sleep a bit later than that.

Anyway, in Malaysia, sleeping at 3am is a big NO-NO. Our daily routine begins at about 7am. So only 4 hours of sleep? I don't think so, babe.

We unpacked 3 days after our feet hit Malaysian soil. Silly, huh? We just didn't want to face the reality that we're actually back! Yeah, I guess you could say that we were in denial. When we eventually unpacked, the smell of the luggage when we opened it... smelt like Akas and Ombai's guestroom smell. It has this sort of distinctive smell. A nice aroma. It reminded me of them. I couldn't help feeling overwhelmed with sadness because I keep remebering Akas and Ombai's faces when we left for the airport.

The morning when we left.....

I was soooo tired because of all the walking we did. That night, we were supposed to go out with Aunty Alis and Uncle Jean-Luc to see Paris at night. We had planned to pack in the evening so we would be all set for the journey to Charles de Gaulle I to go back home.
(Sob!) In the end, we didn't pack in the evening because we were so caught up with the movie Knocked Up, we couldn't take our eyes off of the laptop. Lol. Hilarious movie.

Anyways, I slept a bit early. Around 8pm-ish. Woke up around 10pm because Aunty Alis and Uncle Jean-Luc came. I thought we were going out. But then they only came to apologize that they couldn't leave work early and that they're tired, too.
(I totally understand!) So, instead the purpose of their visit was to bring us presents! Yay! My favorite part of having aunts and uncles. Hahaha.

After that, I continued Lena's packing
(Because I dozed off... whoops!) while she drifted of to Slumberland. It was nice of her to pack for me. I didn't (More like couldn't) sleep until about 3am-ish. I blogged and watched The Hills afterwards. Ate some midnight snacks. And finally got a visit from Mr. Sandman.

I woke up around 6am. Lena was already up. Aunty Alis and Uncle Jean-Luc would be picking us up to send us to the Denfert-Rochereau train station. We had to catch the RER train to directly go to the Charles de Gaulle I airport. We had these luggages to carry. Any way which is easier is good enough for us.

Got in the train. It was packed!! I hate stuffy trains! We get a lot of that in Malaysia. I don't like the feeling of stuffy trains. Especially when I have to drag heavy luggages along the way!! It was soooo uncomfortable.

When we reached the airport, it was near to 9am. The check-in counter opens at 9am. So, we just waited for it to open. When it finally did, there were a lot of people lining up. At first I thought that since it was the plane to go to Malaysia, there weren't going to be many people. I was wrong. Suprisingly, the airplane was full. The plane we went on when going to Paris was not full at all. People could change seats or even lie on the seats in the same row.

On the plane, Rutz got hit on by this stewardess. It was hilarious. Her attention was fixed only on him. She would be asking us about our journey to Paris, but her eyes were only on Ritz's. It was like she wasn't talking to us, but only to him. Then why say "you guys" if you're only going to ask Ritz the questions.

So anyway, side-stepping from that story, After checking our luggages, ew'd thought that Aunty Alis was going to head to her office for work. She asked what we were going to do after that and we just said that we were going to look around and maybe buy some last minute stuff and eat breakfast.

"You gals didn't have your breakfast yet?"

"We did, but it wasn't enough. I had some toasts and a cup of tea but Farah only had a slice of toast."

"Where are you girls going to eat then? Aunty Alis juga belum makan breakfast."

We tried to not let her come along with us. It's not because we don't enjot her company. No, not that. It's just that everytime she's with us, she insists on paying for us. And I don't feel comfortable with that. Most of the time in Malaysia, it's me who pay for me. I don't really know her because it has been a while since we last visited the fams in Paris and the idea of her always paying even though we had brought enough money for us just makes me feel so guilty. She paid for almost every meal we ate. Too generous.

We decided on eating McD's. As always, we had to check whether the food are halal or not. Aunty Alis thought that the breakfast meal is pork free. Nope, it wasn't. It was bacon and eggs. So, we just settled for a muffin. I mean, we will eat again in the plane for sure. Nafsu je clouding our judgement. Lena and I wanted to stay up on the airplane because we rarely get to travel now that our lives just got more complicated. So, we each ordered a cappuccino
(Nothing like Starbucks' cappuccino. Definitely.) to try to stay awake.

Over the light meal, we chatted with Aunty Alis about a lot of things. Global issues, politics, religions, parenting. It was like what she said to us at the end of the meal : A very "educational" talk. It was weird. Why did we talk about all those things with her? And did she enjoy the conversation? Could it be too boring for her? Hopefully not. Because I enjoyed the talk.

She even talked about how she can't conceive. It's a pity, really. We all could tell that she could've and would've
been a terrific mother.

Checked the time, almost 10.45am. We had to be at the waiting area an hour early. So, we rushed to Terminal 1, Hall 5, and to Satelite 4. When we went up the escalator of Hall 5, we turned around to wave for the last time to Aunty Alis. She was waiting down below because you'd need a boarding pass to get to the escalator. We were overwhelmed with sadness because we had gone through our whole 19 years of life without getting to know her and Uncle Jean-Luc. Sedih jugak.

We retraced our steps from the day we arrived in Paris because our gate is near to that gate we arrived in the other day. Upon reaching the passport checking and stamping, we saw that the line was pretty long. So, like any right-minded human being, we queued at the end of the line. Tapi tak tau plak orang Peranchis ada yang kampung gila yek. As were nearer to the counter, there were these group of young adults who just cut-in in front of us. What the ****!!!! We penat-penat je beratur like good samaritans, and senang-senang je they cut line. Bodohnye orang Peranchis tu!

It was already 11am when we reached near our gate. Had to go through those scanner thingy. I got stopped because apparently they saw something in the screen that was in my bag. In my mind I was already thinking, "Oh shit! Did someone put drungs or something in my bag without me knowing it???".

But of course, I was just being paranoid.

The person who checked me gave the green light so I went off. Both of us needed to go to the toilet badly. Because we were up since 6am and didn't go to the loo since then. We walked around the small waiting area to check whether they have toilets nearby... turns out they didn't...
(Or we were too busy dancing around and didn't even notice that they do.) So, we just sat in our seats to wait to board and use the loo.

Turns out.... everyone had the same idea. Haih..... Long queue to the loo. Of all the luck.

We felt a little weird boarding the plane without Ritz. It felt like we were abandoning
(No, more like ditching!) our little bro. It didn't feel right. We were missing him already. We wouldn't be seeing him for another 2 weeks.

Anyways, after we going to the loo, we waited until they allowed us to use the computer thingy behind the head rest of every seat. First thing I did was to create a playlist. Then I watched some movies. I was a bit bored because I had watched some of the more interesting ones during the trip to Paris. What's left were movies like French, Spanish, Arab, Malay and others that I didn't understand
(Except for the Malay one la. That I understand, of course.).

So, I played, yet again, lots of rounds of solitaire, sudoku and bejeweled. Fun games. Because they let you use your noodles. Not literally, of course, because it wouldn't make sense.

Farah and I made a pact to stay awake the whole time on the plane so we wouldn't miss out on anything. We wanted to stay awake in the last hours in France, even though we're suspended thousands of metres on air. So, what did we do to pass the time...??

We slept. HAHAHAHAhahahaha. Couldn't hep it. We didn't get enough sleep the nights before. I suppose we were dreading the moment to go back to Malaysia.

When we reached KLIA, it was still dark but you could see the sunlight creeping up on the horizon. Bittersweet landing, for me. Happy to be home but at the same time missing Paris already. Who would've thought that I would?? I didn't think I would.

By the time the tires of the plane hit Malaysian soil
(Or tar runaway.) I felt all the burden weighing up on my shoulders again. When I left KLIA for Paris, the burden I had lifted off just as the plane took off from KLIA. But as we landed, my shoulders felt heavy (Could also be due to exhaustion or whatever la.) with responsibilties and such.

Ok, I found out that I didn't post this blog. It was just saved as a draft. Oops. I guess I was that tired, huh. Only God knows when I drafted it, because I can't. No worries.

After we had landed that day, we walked around and decided to get our lugagges instead of shopping in KLIA. Suddenly, we received a call from Uncle E. Turns out, we didn't have to take the LCCT
(Which was the original plan because no one could pick us up.) and that Uncle E and Tok Wan was waiting outside for us. Joyful! We didn't have to drag luggages around like that episode in Paris the other day.

Really happy to be home again. Toks, Mommy, Daddy and family, Lola and etc. I changed a bit after a few days back here. I mean my appearance ok. Got few good and bad comments about it. Go die la you all! :p Hahahahaha!

Anyways, I've got work tomorrow morning. Ritz is back! Yay! He came back two days ago. Missed him a lot! Nitey!

Leaving Already?

Ohmigosh. 12 hours more in France then back to Malaysia I go.

It's right now 10 minutes to 12am of the 16th. I can't sleep. It's my last night in Paris. Darn.

We were supposed to have our last night out in Paris with Aunty Alis and Uncle Jean-Luc. But we were tired. And so were they. We were tired because of all the sight-seeings we did. And they were tired because of work.

On Saturday, was Lebaran. We celebrated at the Indonesian embassy, which is where Aunty Alis works as the assistant of the Ambassador of Indonesia. You wouldn't have guessed that the building was indeed an embassy except for the fact that in front of the building they hang the big Indonesian flag. I didn't know what to expect because it was my first time doing the Lebaran prayer. In Malaysia, I would either be helping out for the breakfast in the morning for the men when they finish their Hari Raya prayer or I would be asleep until the men finish their prayer then I would wake up and eat breakfast along with them. Hahahaha.

The Indonesian girls here in Paris are slim. Like super slim! I mean, don't you need like some fat stored in your body to generate heat for the cold weather in Paris? Apparently not then. And the guys.... don't get me started with the guys. None are cute whatsoever.

Slim girls=1 ; Cute guys=0 (What the heck?)

After the prayer, they had prepared some light snacks. Coffee, tea, coke or some other carbonated-based drink (In the morning???) and plain ol' H20. Was the food good, you ask? I don't know. I didn't even get the chance to taste the food. Not even a small bite for breakfast. (Thank goodness I had that one bite of Nutella toast and a small sip of tea for breakfast before leaving for prayers. Uh hello? Was that enough? I don't think so...) Turns out, they didn't prepare enough food!! I think it's dumb that you couldn't have forseen the number of people who would attend this joint. Stupid. Just plain stupid.

Seeing the number of people there, our hopes of enjoying a nice lunch at the Ambassador's open house were crushed. I mean, if this is how much they expected the people who pray to come, what of the people who don't pray and just come for the food at his house? Won't be enough. So, Anwar, Ritz and I went straight home afterwards. Aunty Alis had to go to his house because she's his assistant. If she doesn't go, people would start talking. In a bad way. Manusia, manusia.

We reached home, we ate Ombai's Cleo dish along with this other dish which the name I'm unaware of. Also delicious. I supposed it was better for us to eat at home instead of the Ambassador's house. All for us. No need to share with other people. :p

We took a few hours to rest because we had taken the train and bus back home. Not as easy as in Malaysia. We had to switch trains a lot. A tiring and confusing process if you're not used to it. (In the one week period that we've been here, we finally got the hang of it. A little. Anwar and Ritz both are good at it. It's not that hard to get used to. Only a bit complexed than in Malaysia.)

Anwar and Ritz both slept in the afternoon. I suppose they were "recharging" for our plans to visit the Arc de Triomphe at the Champs Elysées. Great place to be. But not for your wallet. It burns a hole in it.(Not literally, ok?) We checked out a lot of stores. Them two bros loved the Mercedes McLaren store. It was the highlight of the day. Took pictures of the awesome sports car there. Along the streets you could see all the expensive cars on which the rich people purposely flaunts. Porshe, Bentley, Vipers.... you name it, they've got it. We spent the whole day walking around the Champs Elysées. Then we decided to take a long walk to visit the Musée du Louvre .
We passed the Concorde where there were this Eye on Malaysia look-alike ferris wheel. Nice to see. But wasn't really interested in riding it. Even the one in Malaysia I wasn't interested in riding, even though it's there for a limited time only.

When we reached the Louvre, it was already dark, and the museum had closed for the day. So we just took pictures outside of it. The view was nice. Oh right, before we went to see the museum, we went shopping near the Rue de Rivoli for some souvenirs for our dear family and friends. I would'nt say it is expensive, but you would have to survey the shops first before you buy anything. Some shops give better bargain than the others. So, put a wrinkle in your brain with that knowledge, yeah?

It was getting late, and we could see each of our faces beginning to tire out, so we headed for home. Not before taking a few more "Snap! Snap!"s here and there. When we were feeling hungry, we knew it was time to head home. Eating at home is cheaper than eating outside. Cuts cost, yeah? Yeah!

The Rugby World Cup of 2007 match for France against England was on that night. Aunty Alis and Uncle Jean-Luc are big fans. They came over to watch together. I didn't really understand the rules of the game, because rugby is still kind of new to me, so I hit the sack early after dinner. Was hungry and tired after all that walking. In Paris, we all pretty much did a lot of walking. I'm not complaining because I can't really do all that in Malaysia, so I love walking here, where the air is cold and fresh (Unless you're in the subway, it's not.) and you'll also feel free.

Wow! I've een blogging for more than 30 minutes already. Time doesn't just fly now... it jets! I'm still not feeling sleepy, though. Everyone else is asleep now. I'm up alone. Except for the people driving by outside. And the ambulance. I always hear them! They're like my morning alarm clock. Its loud enough to wake you. And they pass by almost every 3 hours or so.

I think I'm gonna go on and watch The Hills now. At least I have something to do while staying up. I love watching that show. I don't even know why. I've downloaded the latest season because in Malaysia it's slow to get the latest episodes!

Toodles!

Ugh! I can't believe I'm leaving tomorrow!!!!!!

Bye Big Bro, Bye.

It's the second last day in Paris. I'm so sad.

First day, Wednesday-In culture shock.

Second day, Thursday-Excited to be in Paris.

Second day I sort of stayed indoors and did not go out. I didn't really feel well because when I came here, I was sick. And apparently, I passed the bug to Lena so... ditto for her. We were in the kitchen most of the time. It was going to be Lebaran (Hari Raya is in Malay. Lebaran is in Indonesian.) Ombai was cooking a lot in the kitchen. She was doing her Palembang-style dishes (Delicious!) we did a lot of cut-here-stir-there-slice-and-dice-this-wash-that. It's very smelly. And greasy. Ha-ha! It's ok, because it was scrumptious. Worth the fat.

Third day, Friday, we went sight-seeing with Aunty Alis. She showed us around. We went to the Eiffel Tower and wanted to go up there. Ugh, tetapi impianku tidak tercapai. It was dumb. Of course, on a Friday afternoon it would be pack. I think. Wait a minute, these people don't go to work or something?

As we looked around, we found that it was because of the Rugby World Cup held in France this year. France (Les Bleus) would be going against England (The Rose) on Saturday night. It was a great experience. Semangat gila mereka semua.

After going to the Eiffel Tower, we took the bus to go to the train station to get to Notre-Dame. Translation : Our Lady. Who is the "lady" they're referring to? I have no clue. But I'm sure it's someone important. (Could be France, you know... as the "Lady". Or the Vigin Mary. I'm not really sure.)

The building itself was located near some kind of university or college of Sorbonne. A lot of students were seen passing by here and there. The bros did their "checking out". And so did the sistas. Lol.

But really, I gotta say that I would've thought that these French people would be more courteous and whatever, but no they aren't really. Well, there are some who are still courteous but the majority... are rude. Super rude. I mean, they would be the ones who bump into you but then growl and grumble at you as though you had bumped into them. Just because we're shorter than them. Sheesh. Dumbasses. They will say pardon, but not in a sincere way. Teruk siot.

An
yways, in between the walk to the Notre-Dame, we passed by Starbucks and decided that we wanted a Paris mug. Big Bro had bought us a Starbucks Canada mug from Ottawa. And we already have the Kuala Lumpur mug from our mom. I wonder if Jenna could buy us one from India. Are there any Starbucks in India? If yes, Jenna, when you read this, you know what I want. Hehehehe.

When we reached the old, sacred building, we took a lot of pictures there. Inside, it's quite dark and a bit gloomy. But beautiful. The colors of the stained glasses, the "ancient" feeling you get when you're inside, the lit candles placed almost everywhere... It was nice to see. Th building was built long, long ago back when Malaysia was dijajah-ed oleh British. At least I think so. My history after SPM teruk ok?

We did a lot of walking around, which is good because we did a lot of "eating" around. I seriously feel that if we hadn't walked around for hours everyday, I would have gained a lot of weight. I keep on eating and eating and eating here. Eating all the food that we can't really get in Malaysia either because it's hard to get, or because it's expensive.

I still think I gained a few pounds because of all the eating. I can't help thinking about it.... I'm a girl. Most girls do think about it. Those who don't think about it are either in denial, already skinny, fit or super confident in themselves. I hate being a yo-yo. (Means I hate going up and down all the time.)
After visiting Notre-Dame, we headed home. Ate Ombai's scrumptious dishes and slept happily.

I have to make my blogs short because my time here is limited and I don't want to waste it all on blogging. Blogging, I can do in Malaysia. Exploring Paris, on the other hand, I can't do while in Malaysia.

My Bro would be leaving for Canada in three hours time. I'm sad. I rarely get to see him. He's too stubborn to come back to Malaysia. He loves, lives and breathes Canada. Don't blame him. It's a good country. The way he speaks highly of it makes me want to move there, too. Malaysia has its ups and downs. But I can't separate from Malaysia. No matter how badly I want to leave, I just can't. I guess you could say I'm a bit patriotic. Hahaha.

Culture Shock

I'm right now in Paris! Woo-hoo!

We actually arrived yesterday morning but I was too tired to blog in anything. It's 8.15am in Paris (2.15pm in Malaysia) right now. Sahur over here ended around 6.32am. We woke up around 4.45am. Just ate bread with Nutella (The BIG jar is frickin' cheap here. In Malaysia it could cost up to RM15 for a normal size jar.) and La Vache Qui Rit (Also frickin' cheap.)

Here's how the journey to Charles De Gaulle airport went. The day that we left Malaysia was a hectic one. Full of stupid challenges that we had to face upon departure. There were still some stuff on the list-of-things-to-buy-for-people-abroad that we didn't buy yet because we didn't (More like couldn't) find. So last minute shopping really kicks ass! In a bad way.

I was supposed to attend class on the 9th. 2pm til 5pm. I couldn't make it. Besides my terrible headaches and running nose, I just didn't finish packing my things yet. There were new things to add to our luggages so we had to constantly change the contents of our bags so it would't exceed the required capacity. 20kg x 3 people = 60kg. More than enough. We were just bringing clothes and stuff, right? Wrong! We weren't just bringing clothes. We had to also bring fruits, kuihs, vegetables and others which are rare in Paris or expensive but cheap in Malaysia. You know the drill.

All in all, one luggage was assigned to carry on the fruits and vegetables, one luggage was assgined to carry presents and gifts and things on the list-of-things-to-buy-for-people-abroad and lastly, the luggages that would be used for our clothes and stuff. Put all that into account.... four luggages altogether. Not taking into account our carry-ons, laptop, camcorder and camera bag. Two big luggages, two wheelies, three "backpacks", laptop bag and camcorder and camera bag. Uncle Jean-Luc had work so he couldn't pick us up.
The alternative = Take The Train.

I was thinking, "Uh, okay. Train. That's easy, right? I'm sure it would be just as easy as the trains in Malaysia."Uh-uh. Think again, Bozo.

It was ok to just walk and drag light luggages. But the thing is we don't have just light luggages, we had three heavy luggages, and few light ones that we had to drag around France. Not to mention that it was a on a Wednesday, so local people in the train were a bit upset to find that the seats were occupied by a couple of foreigners who brought along BIG luggages. My bad.
Viva la France.

What's worst is that the subways don't have that many escalators installed for the people. Did they forget about the disabled people or something??? How are they to go on and about their business here? (I guess they just stay at home or take the bus and stuff.) There were only the traditional stairs available for us. Sad isn't it? We had to carry all those heavy luggages up and down the stairs. By the time we reached the third staircase, thank god we were going down and not up, I felt like just throwing the luggages down the steps, instead of just carrying while descending one step at a time. (Oi, puasa la! Rasa macam nak mati!) Ridzy had to carry the heavy ones up the stairs. Kesian. It was even more tiring for him. When we reached the final staircase, which we had to go up and not down, I could tell Ritz was already K.O. Lena and I waited at the bottom of the staircase. Aunty Alis was carrying the light luggage so she easily went up and waited for us there. I wish our lives were as simple as hers. Plus, she's really fit for her age. She told us that it was due to all the walking around. She said driving in Paris during rush hour is terrible. What else is new? Malaysia juga sama.

As we waited for Ritz to help with the luggages, this really nice man offered Lena a hand - But he spoke in French. At first she couldn't guess what he was trying to say so he just grabbed the luggage and went up the stairs like nobody's business. Lena, of course, said "Merci". (She told me that it was her first time speaking French to a French person. I told her that in Starbucks, we try to speak a little French to our French customers who work in Carrefour, also known as the "Doppio group" and she said, "No, I mean to a real French person that is not required as a script like in Starbucks.".......... Huh??? So, saying bonjour and merci is a script? And the Doppio group are not real French people? What the.....?)

Anyways, it was really nice of that man to help, even though we hadn't asked him to.

At the bus stop (Yeah! We had to ride the bus, too!), Aunty Alis had shown us these bikes that people can rent for the day. It was cool! To rent it, you'd have to have a credit card so that they could charge you in that manner. There are a lot of parking spots for the bikes in Paris. When Aunty Alis showed us, there were about only a few of them left. A lot of the spots were empty. I'm guessing that people in France are encouraged to be environmentally friendly. (No duh!)

We were waiting beside the bus. My eyes wander around to see this town, this town that seems so alien to me, and my eyes came to rest upon this drugstore. (Pharmacy ok? Not an actual "drug"store.) I watched the people inside, paying for whatever they want. Nothing seemed interesting until my eye caught something colorful. The LEDs of a machine outside the drugstore. It was stuck on the wall. At first I thought that it could've been a vending machine for candies or something edible. But as I "zoomed in" on the machine I saw that it was a vending machine for condoms. I was unsure at first but when I saw the word "Durex" plastered on it, I knew that I was right. Takkan Durex jual chewing gum kot? Maybe chewable condoms?? Hahaha. Reminds me of the movie "The Coneheads". Dan Akroyd chewed on condoms.
Hilarious! I didn't know that they were condoms at that time. I was still an innocent little girl. I'd thought that the shape of the bubble gum he was blowing was weird. Few years later...... baru tau. But anyways, yeah it was a bit of a culture shock for me. When I told my big bro, he said that it's common almost eveerwhere. Canada, the Us of A, England... you name it. Malaysia tak ada. Just to promote safe sex in a healthy way. I don't know whether it's a good thing or a bad thing. Should Malaysia have it, too?

Anyways, after the bus ride we reached our grandparents flat. Thank god!!!!!!

Our fingers ached from all the pulling and carrying around. Our first day revolved around sleeping only. Jetlag.

Lena caught the bug. I think I passed it to her because I'm feeling a lot better now, besides the occasional sniffs and coughs. She's been sleeping most of the time. Even now. Poor Lena.Ritz went out for a nice long walk after his short nap just now. I wanted to go, too but he didn't let me. Sheesh! Since when do little brothers get to tell their older sisters on what they can and cannot do? Topsy turvy world we live in now. The women bring back the bread and the men make meals out of them. Don't get mad at me for saying this. I'm just saying it the way I see it.

Ok, I gotta go now. My grandma needs help in the kitchen. She's a killer Chef!

Sunday Day

I just got off from work. That guy I've been seriously crushing on didn't come. Boo-hoo! He usually comes in the morning. I saw him yesterday when I was doing the middle shift. He's attractive. Can't say cute, but attractive. He asked Hadey whether can change his RM50 into smaller amounts. I happened to be there. When he smiled, my world lit up. Hahaha.

Anyways, enough of this crap. I'm here to blog about the Genting Trip. Like I said would. I gave you my word that I would.

So, here I go.

The ones who agreed to go on the trip were Caryn, Chin, Pin Pin, Diyana and me. At first, Caryn and I decided to leave our cars at Carrefour so we could go get it in the morning. But thoughts about how cruel the world is nowadays - and not to mention what happened to Suraya the other night - made us second guess our decision. After minutes and minutes of thinking, we finally decide to leave the car at Toks place. I parked inside. Caryn parked her Kenari in the alley. It's ok, we were coming back the same morning. Just didn't know what time, that's all.

I went inside to put Caryn's laptop and went to the loo. And so did Diyana. I mean c'mon... Genting is quite cold and far. I don't like to use public toilets. I prefer the toilets at home.

After leaving Tok's place, Chin needed caffeine to keep him awake while driving. He was our designated driver for the night. He doesn't trust his car with anyone but him. Interesting.....

Since Carrefour Starbucks was closed for the night, the alternative was.......... SS15 because it's nearer to Tok's place. We reached there, it was about 2am, I think. Asyraf and Vanee was working closing shift. Others needed to go to the loo, too. Thank goodness they have toilets there in Starbucks SS15.

We told the SS15 partners about our trip for the night. Or morning. Whichever.

They were interested.
We kept talking.
After talking for a while, we decided to invite them.

After minutes of persuasion, we finally got through to them. They wanted to go. So, we helped them close up the store. Imagine, we did closing for our store, and their store. Penat penat.

It was about 2.30am, if I'm not mistaken, by the time they locked the doors. They went back for a while to change. Us, #029 partners were waiting at the gas station for them. After filling up gas for Chin's Wira, we waited quietly in the car for them. Waiting. Waiting. And waiting.

"Where the hell are they?" said Chin.

I looked to my left and to my right. To my left was Diyana. She was sms-ing someone. To my right was Caryn, looking quite tired. She told me that she didn't get enough sleep because she went to Genting the night before with some friends. Minutes passed by, some of us were starting to doubt the trip.

Caryn, had church later on and she was the driver for her family. She had to be back by 8am.

Impossible.

I had to be back by 9am because I had Kak Nor's kenduri to go to. Impossible to miss.

Chin wouldn't let us back out. Instead, he persuaded us to either skip our agendas or tell our families that we would be back late. We thought that it was quite impossible to come back before Caryn's church. Caryn was even considering to not go.
(Say what?!) But in the end, she called up her family and told them that she won't be back in time for church.

So, no church for her.

Me? Still have to go.

Even after this long discussion we had in the car, they were still not here. We were getting impatient. Especially Chin because he was the one driving. Lagi lama tunggu, lagi penat memandu.

By the time they came, we were relieved! Thank God! We could go already.... So, we left.

I'll skip to the part where we reach Genting. If I blog about every single detail... mati la korang semua nak baca panjang gila babi.

We were about 5 minutes to the top. And boy, was it misty up there. It was hard to actually see Genting. All we could see were lights covered by mists. At least there were lights. If not, instead of going up.... we would be going down. Fast!

Touchwood. Touchwood!

We opened the window to feel the cool breeze.. And decided it was a mistake because it was too bloody cold. Damn cold.

We closed the car windows shortly after that. (Hah! Konon nak pergi Canada. Genting temperature pun takleh tahan. Bodoh.)

Upon reaching the top, we could see the wind blowing the trees nearby. Everyone walked quickly so that they won't catch a bad cold or anything. They walked so fast as though the Devil was running after them. Hands thrusted in pockets, they walked with their heads held low. Smart. So, they're faces won't feel the piercing, cold breeze. Piercing because it felt like millions of tiny needles were poking the front of my face. I definitely did not want a do-over!

After parking, we quickly walked to the entrance of the hotel. In high hopes of sipping Signature Hot Chocolate from Starbucks (30% off.. YES!). We set out to look for the nearest Starbucks to end the misery of the coldness that we were facing. Dramatic - yes. We were in dire need of hot drinks to ease our freezing bodyparts which were slowly turning into ice.

We entered the building (I forget the name already. Too busy freezing my ass off in the blistering cold wind.) and went off for our search for Starbucks. But our first stop wasn't Starbucks. It was................. tandas!! (Pundi kencing kecut, bodoh!) All of us went this time.

Us, gals also have to powder our noses! Hence, the name Powder Room. (Riiiight..) Only after that did we look for the nearest Starbucks. (Eh, dari tadi je "nearest Starbucks". Sampai, tak jugak.) Anyway, we walked and walked which felt like an eternity.

Eternity, I tell ya!

Finally, we reached Starbucks. Only to find...... it was closing. Shit! So, off we went in search for the next store. Starbucks. Genting has three. So, we crossed that one off the list.

We walked again and again. Penat gila la! The others were all either wearing shoes or no heels. I was the dumb one. I was wearing my two-inch heels. Stoopid? I know.

Very stoopid.

Some of you might think, "Two inches only? I can walk forever on three" or whatever crap. Here's the deal. I Don't Wear Heels. Period. So, my feet were aching pretty badly.

We were a bit unsure on the whereabouts of the nex store, so Pin Pin decided we should get Coffee Beans instead. (Darn! No 30%. I'm a cheapskate. So, deal with it.) Pin Pin was the only one who entered the store. The others... were a tad bit reluctant. Why? Beats me....

She was asking about all the drinks while my eyes raved on the pastry case. Delicious! On a cold night, or morning, it was rather tempting to see all those food. As though they were actually calling out to you to buy them. I was almost considering on buying something from CB until, if I'm not mistaken, Vanee
(Or was it Chin? Asyraf? Heck, my memory stinks! I think I was too hungry to care.) that she wanted Starbucks. And we were talking about Starbucks in front of CB people. Pandai sangat. Pin Pin was the first to enter, and the last to leave. She was almost eady to order. Heck, she was already at the counter for crying out loud. But no. Fickle intrudes in on our moment of peace.

So, we walked again. Up down. Up down. I felt like cutting off my feet because it was hurting too much. Diyana and Caryn kept asking if I was alright. So nice of them to care. When really, they should care about themselves. They looked as tired as I did.

Finally, upon reaching Starbucks with high hopes... only to feel it being broken into millions of pieces. Sia-sia saja naik atas. Then, we decided to go back to CB. Down up. Down up.

Sampai je CB only to find that they had shut down their espresso machine. What the heck?! Coffee shop without coffee???? They, quickly added that they can only serve brewed coffee or blended beverages. Uh ok. It's freezing cold outside.... and you want us to drink cold beverages?

Go die la!

So, with the limited menu available, Asyraf suggested we try the "Nasi Kandar" store downstairs. He said we passed it a couple of times. I didn't notice it. My eyes never seem to adore "Nasi" restaurants. I'm not a "Nasi" person. Mind you, nasi... not nazi.. ok?

And down we went. Now, when he said "downstairs", I thought he meant literally downstairs. As in just a few floors down. What I dodn't expect was that we had to go all the way pusing sini, pusing sana, putar belit and all that shit. I was not happy. My feet hurts! Like. Bloody. Hell.

We reached to find it only serving rice. Like duh!~ And some not-so-nice-looking lauk-pauk. (Jangan main. Bahasa Melayu saya A1. Tepuk tepuk.) Oh damn. My stupid finger accidentally pressed the publish post link. Now, it's posted. Never mind then. I'm editing my blog as you're reading "lauk". Haha

Anyway, we skipped the rice store. We want something satisfying. So, in the end... we settled for Marry Brown. Like, eew! The food ain't all that, okay. I suggest, if you were ever in our situation, to choose either McD's or KFC. No matter if the price is too expensive or what crap. Don't eat MB. Their motto "Something Different" definitely suits. But they should add "Something different that's not up to your standards".

We should've gone to KFC or McD's. What were we thinking?!
(That's the point. We weren't thinking. Our stomach was doing the thinking for us. Does it have a brain? I do wonder........)

As we were eating, I could see the light dying in some of our eyes. The fun was almost draining out. Although, for some of us the fun was just beginning. Who are they? I shall not state.

Pin Pin and I wanted something to eat for desert. We were suddenly craving for the Chocolate Eclairs that we saw at CB. She also said that she wanted to drink the blended beverages. Crazy! I admire her. She's got guts!

Chin was almost in Slumberland... (Hey, I think that's a brand. Is it?) We were talking about if we needed to stay in a hotel. All of us. Chin was the driver. He didn't look like he was up for it. Caryn, of course, offered to help him drive his car. And Chin, doesn't trust anyone to drive his car. Need I say more?

After much perah-ing our brains, we just decided to not stay in a hotel. One: Because I had the kenduri. Had to be home latest 9am. Two: Well... I think we only had one reason. (Oh no! I spoiled the fun? Only now I realize.)

Off we went to go to CB for our desert..... and again.. only to find the dumb store to be closed. I was getting pissed off because every single store we wanted to go to upon our last minute decision-making seem to backfire on us.
(Wait a minute... ayat ni macam tak betul je. "wanted to go to upon our last minute decision-making seem to backfire..." Oh well, what the heck. I don't give a damn. *Searching for Grammar books on shelf* OK, I don't care.)

So, we were at a dead end. I was seriously craving for something sweet. I ate the fillet fish set. That wasn't appetizing so I needed something sweet and fattening! Some of us wanted to go to the loo again. Seems that nearby, there was a pastry shop. Yay! Something sweet and fattening!
As we were looking at the yummy food, suddenly the lights went out. And we heard someone say, "Sorry, we're closed. We open again at 7am."

We check our watches. 6.30am. 30 minutes to spare. Lucky us. NOT! We were sooooo unlucky that night. Having almost every store close down on us. Especially YOU Starbucks! Grr... I wanted Hot Choc so badly that night... and you let me down.. *Grabs a tissue*

We waited in the bakery shop. We settled in a corner with comfy sofas. Eventually, some of us napped away. Pin Pin and Diyana went off for a morning walk. It was too cold, so they came back to ask to borrow our jackets. I almost dozed off until I heard Asyraf and Vanee wanted to see the sunrise. So, I joined in the fun.

Outside was still cold. Not as cold as before. But still cold. Shivering in the cold without my jacket. As were camwhoring outside, we tried so hard to look as normal as possible without the slightest hint that we were actually freezing in the cold, morning breeze. Mission accomplished.
Caryn joined us after a while.

When we went inside.... the shop was already open! Yay! Chin was nice enough to belanja. Thanks Chin! Such a gentleman. :p

After gobbling down the food as though there's no tomorrow, it was getting late. I needed to get back before 9am, remember? My feet were still hurting, but nothing that a hot meal couldn't cure. My feet were starting to feel a bit better. We took some few last photos of our random trip to Genting and set off for home. Home and away.

The End.

P/s: We're still thinking of another random trip, but not to Genting. And this time we want more of the Psychos of #029 to join in on the fun.

All the small things.....

Saturday, went for SS17 prom audition. We nailed it. I think...

It was nerve wrecking for me. It has been almost two full years since I last played drums. And Afiq asked us to play Blink 182 and Mocca songs. Oh Snap! The audition was around 2pm til 5pm. So, we had practised that night before
(Or morning. Whichever way you look at it.) around 12am til almost 2am.

Man, I sucked when we jammed. I couldn't roll properly. I was off-beat 80% of the time. I couldn't control my legs for the bass and hi-hat. Plus, I sorta sprained my right foot because I had to step on the bass pedal real hard because they wouldn't allow shoes in the jam studio.

What the fudge?

After jamming, Afiq asked me to ask his Sifu for drum advice. So, I did. And even watched his 13 year old niece jamm their jam studio. She's frickin' 13 and she could play MCR - Helena. Hebat hebat. I salute her. She rocks! A kid jamming Helena at 2.30 in the morning. Whoa....

Next day, went for audition. I think we got it. Not sure. They didn't tell us the results yet. Have to wait a few minutes/hours/days/weeks/months. I was the only gal drummer there. Hah! Where are all those drummer wannabes out there? During my time school, there were plenty of 'em. I guess they moved on. Let us say our prayers for them. :p

Anyway, just now there was a clearance sale of perfumes in PJ. We went there with Daddy.

Ho-ho. You should've seen the look on his face.

Bought some perfumes for Tok Mum, Mommy
, Jenna, moi, Lena and Ritz. All costs up to........................................................not telling. Terlalu mahal. Wanted to buy something for Anwar, but didn't know what type he likes. Sorry, Big Bro. :(

Yeap. That bad. Lets just say I need to put in a few extra hours in Starbucks. But it's ok. I can manage. Spare me the lecture, please, I beg of you.

Some brands there were Jennifer Lopez, Calvin Klein, Carolina Herrera, Thierry Mugler, Burberry, Bvlgari, Paco Rabanne, Nina Ricci, Davidoff and such. Just to a name a few. Slashed prices! I mean, it was worth every penny. Jenna, you'll love Angel and Innocent!!!! We got you the pinkish colored one. Le Lys. Even got the miniatures! Yay! Sad to say, no Lolita Lempicka. I love the "Ultraviolet" perfume, too. Comes with a cute and pretty bag! Mommy and Lena both bought the same "Angel" perfume that comes with a small make up bag and a small mirror. Bought Tok Mum "Love In Paris". When I smelled the perfume for the first time, it had Tok Mum written all over it. It reminded me of the talc perfumed talc, Enchanteur, she always wears.

Haha. Daddy freaked! But so what? Aunty Nurie was more expensive. She's just one person and almost cost the same as ours combined. But of course, she's the love of his life. Goes to show what sappy soul would do for their loved ones.

Additional perfumes for my collection. I collect 'em, but I don't use 'em. Sayang la. I only use cheap ones daily. Haha. Also, I use the Nike spray you gave, Jenna. Works when I sweat alot. ;p

Terengganu.. oops.. I mean, Penang Trip.

heyya!

Alright, here's the low down on what happened after the exams...

Me and my collegemates planned to watch movies after the exam. Sadly, my dad told me last minute (Frickin' last minute!) that we were going on a vacation trip to..... surprise!! Terengganu... (*cricket sounds* and tumbleweeds passing...) Yeah, I know... Terengganu. If it were a trip to Paris or wherever, I'd agree in a heartbeat. But, this... I was sorta reluctant. I mean c'mon, I just finished my exams and I wanted sometime to relax and maybe hangout with some peeps from college. But then I also thought that since Lena won't be here for long because she'll be off to uni... what the heck? A trip with Daddy and the Fam won't be that bad.

So, eventhough I wasn't gonna join me fellow mates watching movies, I just hung out with them for awhile in Midvalley. When I said awhile, I didn't think it would be too short of a time! I offered a ride to the gals but only Farah, Fadhilla and Meiyan accepted my offer. Sangee, Shareen, Maeve and Mei Gie went on the KTM. They said something about the train being a more faster mode of transportation....
(uh.. really?) As it seems, we were the first to arrive at the ticket counter. Followed by Waifon and her friends. Then Sangee and all. (Not that we're racing or anything, but if it were a race, we would have won. :p)

The queue was sorta long. Go figure, it was during lunch hours, and on a Friday. Yep, you do the math. Anyway, yadda yadda yadda, we laughed, took some pictures, got a phonecall from Lena and Ritz
(Something about ruining their vacation or ditching me or something. Long story.) so I rushed back home. Didn't have that much time to hang out with my mates there anyhow cause they had a movie to catch, and I didn't.

Went home, rushed alot. Forgot to pack some stuff. Dad was calling. Yelling over the phone. Something about why I was at Midvalley when I knew that we had to go on that stupid trip.
FYI: I know that we had to leave a bit early because Terengganu is sorta far. But I told Daddy, Farah and Ritz all IN ADVANCED that I would be home before 4.30pm. And what time did they call me? Around 2.45pm. Hell-o? I said 4.30pm didn't I? Sheesh! I told him, " I know la. We're on the way to your house already. (When I said "on the way", I didn't mean the "on the way" that peeps use to say when they just stepped out of the house. We were really on the way, okay?)

When we arrived at Daddy-O's house, they weren't even ready!
(And it ain't my fault! Hah!)
So, while waiting, I pigged-out the fridge. (Hey! A gal's gotta eat, you know? Plus, I didn't eat lunch yet.) We left the house like around 5.30pm. And the funny thing is, Daddy was so bising about being late and all that crap, but he sanggup turn around when were already near the highway just to use the Benz instead of Baby K. Tsk, tsk, tsk. Good news is that Lena got to drive the Benz. And boy, her smile was so wide until I think I could've put a banana in her mouth side ways and it would fit! :p Kidding!

Bla..bla..bla..bla.. slept in the car. Woke up, we were already there! Yay! That's like the only fast-forward button I know that God gave us to use. Very handy...

We were all beat-up from the journey. So, dinner was only from the mamak
stalls. Hah!

Breakfast was the incredible part. If Big Bro Anwar were there with us, he would've enjoyed it, too. We had beef bacon, omelete, pastries, croissant, cereals, sausages, hashbrowns and french toasts. I think this and the Tioman trips were the only ones that the hotels served beef bacons for breakfast. Tough love, I tell ya. We ate til we couldn't eat no more!
(Yeah, and because we ate alot I put on a few pounds. Pure shitzy I tell ya! S'okay. No worries. I can lose it by exercising again. It's been awhile....)

After breakfast, we all had a walk on the beach. It was cool! Lena, Daniel, Aunty Nurie and Deanna rode on horses. I didn't... because I'm such a frickin' chicken.
(Shh! Don't tell anyone that! :p) And Ritz was soooo brave to go ride that parachute thingy. He looked so hilarious. There was a moment where he almost ran into a tree.. Seriously! But he controlled it just in time. Haha. But his landing was so near to water, it scared us all. Got cool pics of it, too! Check it out...
Cool, eyh? So, after that, we just lepak-ed in the hotel room. Played some games on Ritz PS2. Timesplitters 2, Time Crisis 3, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and all. Since Daniel brought his portable PS2 along, we didn't have any problems about who can play and who can't. Thank God for that.

That night, we ate at The Ship. Might I add, the service there sucks! When we entered the restaurant, there was noone to greet us at the entrance. Usually, they would have hosts or hostesses greeting us and bringing us to the tables and stuff. But nope. Noone was there. And there was this other Chinese family macam tak sabar-sabar je. I mean hell-o? We were there first and the dad was like trying to take our table or something. Hold on la. The lambs, lobsters and chickens ain't goin nowhere. They're already dead! Sheesh!

The drinks were served after our appetizers. When we were this close to choking our asses off. Mind the language. I mean really, in the food industry, everyone knows that the drinks have to arrive before the food. I mean, Duh!~ right?

Daniel and Deanna were asleep on their plates.
(Literally! But the plates were empty, of course.) Daddy, if I'm not mistaken, ordered the Chicken Chops, Aunty Nurie ordered the Sizzling Lamb Chops, I ordered the Grilled Lamb Chops, Lena ordered the Rib-eye Steak and Ritz ordered the Sizzling Sirloin Steak. Since Aunty Nurie and Ritz ate the sizzling meals, they had to wear bibs! Lol! The shrimp cocktails were d-licious! Eventhough I'm allergic to shellfish, I still ate it. I can't resist it! But I shall say nothing further about the after-effects.

Next morning, me and Lena were so tired, we couldn't get up in time for breakfast. So, we didn't eat and hung out at the beach again. We just stayed in the our room. I was looking for something to eat so I checked out Daddy's room and raided the fridge. Seems that I was unaware about the bread being "expired". Bodoh betul manusia ini kadang-kadang, kan? So, I ate bread and some twiggies. Hey, it was good enough okay?

When Daddy and the Fam came back, we had taken a shower and all. So, when it was time to pack, we were already ready. Well, almost la.

Put everything in the car. Waited in the car till I received a call from Daddy asking me about the internet I used the night before.
(Oh shit! I dreaded that moment!) Heart racing and palms sweaty, I entered the hotel lobby. Daddy was waiting for me at the counter. Face - unreadable.

I asked whatsup? And he started firing me with all his 21 questions. "How come you didn't know that they charge you for the internet? How come you didn't off the laptop eventhough you weren't playing it? Why did you want to play internet when you know that at home Streamyx is free? How come this... How come that... Why this... Why that..." Dang!

I just replied saying that I didn't know that they charge for internet at the time. When I wanted to play longer, suddenly they cut-off the internet because I couldn't surf it, so I just left it on because I thought someone wanted to watch DVD. I wanted to play the internet because I wanted to blog about my day and check my Friendster. Need I say more? Sheesh! Okay, I admit that it was my fault. So, I was charged RM57 for a 30-minute internet access which I couldn't even access in the first place. What a "fudging" rip-off! So, now I owe Daddy-O RM57. Life couldn't get more better than that!

Anyway, in the car he was bising-bising so I ignored him by listening to my mp3. Actually, I wasn;t listening to my mp3 because I forgot it so I listened to my handphone media playlist instead. Which I only had 11 songs in there because its only a 64MB memory card.
(I should buy a new and bigger storage. Sheesh! One fine day, I will.)

I didn't even realize that I fell asleep until I awoke and saw that we were at Autocity. Which can only mean one thing: SUBWAY! ;)

Daniel was waving at Aunty Nurie, I think. Deanna was a bit moody because she just woke up.

Daddy bought us all 6-inches when he and Ritz ate footlong each. Big appetite, they have. Deanna was asleep because I guess she was tired from the fun time they had at the beach, which me and Lena didn't participate in. Boo-hoo.

After that, It was the ride home. Bla.. bla.. bla.. yadda yadda yadda.. and here I am. In Daddy's "office", playing the internet. What fun. Tomorrow Ritz has this PMR Oral thingy so, I can't be long. So, till next time then. Since I have no classes till September, I can blog all I want. Yay!

Adioz!

p/s: Did forget to mention that the Terengganu Trip was cancelled but instead we went to Penang? Anyway, now you know. Tata!~

A Night To Remember

Yesterday. The best day of my life. Filled with laughter, embarassment and excitement.

Morning: Woke up around 6.15am just to play basketball in Bukit Jelutong. Supposed to be earlier because I thought tak jadi because of a certain "argument" between these two individuals whom the names I shall not state. You know who you are.

I was happily sleeping away, thinking that I didn't have to wake up that "late" in the morning. Can't really remember what I dreamt of precisely, but I do remember that it was weird.
(Extremely weird.)

Jenna shook me. I thought I was experiencing turbulence. In an airplane. But no, I really wasn't. (Crazy la.)

Got ready in a jiffy. Couldn't wait to play basketball. I miss playing sports and wakil-ing sekolah for sports. I used to, back in the past. (Why am I typing short sentences? Sheesh!)

Anyway, we were lucky that there was noone around to use the court. (Hate to share courts. Men, or should I say boys, love to dominate the court. How discriminating!) Everyone is either at work, college or school. (Ritz ponteng! Haha!)

Played a mini competition against one another. The gals lost, of course. (Damn the useless and powerless thing-a-ma-jigg that we call "arms".) It was fun. Got some great shots.

Eddie won the mini competition already. Only us three left.

Hey! Is that Bigfoot?!

Jenna, gazing into the future.

Ritz, well I duno what he's doing.

What's that on the left?

Me, Jenna & Ritz

Not even close to the hoop. Air ball.

Basketball advertisement: It's in the game.

Justin & Britney? Oh wait, it's only Eddie & Jenna.

Nice shot. Notice how my arms always swing to the back when shooting?

An attempt to jumpshot. FYI: The ball went in.

After burning fat, what more better way to fill the lots with more fat? By eating at McD's! (Yay!)

Afternoon/Evening: Spent it in college. Revisions for Tort. I had no clue what Ms. Eunice was revising about. The cases that were brought up were like foreign languages - Couldn't understand! - Why? Because I was focusing too much on the night-to-come. Loft, baby!

Eu Jin, kept me worried. I was doubting that I could enter Loft because he said that I was under-aged.
(I didn't even know that clubs were so strict..)

Lepak-ed with Munirah on 3rd floor. Was joined by Lily, Jessica and Kelvin soon afterwards. Chitted-chatted for a little while before class started.
(Plus, that's the only cheap place that I know I can afford to eat. I'm on a strict budget, man.) Class started, went back on the 4th floor to class. Ieka was already there at our usual seats.

Break-time: Searched for Alex. Had to give him his treasure hunt papers. He told me that he would be waiting on the 3rd floor.

I went down, searched the hallway. He wasn't there. Saw his friend, Joshua, and asked him where Alex was. He didn't really know. Suggested to check the 2nd floor, so I went.

He wasn't there. *Sigh*

Wanted to call him, but, the idiotic side of me, left the frickin' handphone in my bag which was in class. So, off to the 4th floor I went.

I didn't mind going up and down the stairs. What better way to tone my un-toned ass, right? The thing is... I was wearing frickin' heels. My feet were killing me, so I decided to just take the elevator.
(Pandai kan?)

It was really quiet in the elevator. No music, unlike the elevators you see in those Hollywood movies and such. No sound... only the sound of an elevator moving. How does that sound like? I'm not sure myself.

Reached the 4th floor. Thank the heavens above! I made it!

As I 'confidently' walked out of the elevator, my stupid heels got caught in the hole between the elevator and the 4th floor.
(Stupidos!) I was stuck there for like 3 minutes or something. (It felt like an eternity! Oh! The HORROR!) After a tremendous amount of time wasted of me tugging and pulling my stucked foot, my foot suddenly popped out. Easily. What the hell I did pun I tak ingat.

If there was anyone monitoring the cameras at that moment in time, I bet he'd be laughing his brains off. I've seen it before. You could clearly see the elevators from the camera.
(How embarassing!) Luckily the elevator doors didn't close on me.

(Luck.. Hah! What does luck have anything to do with this?) After that, I rushed into class to get my handphone and called Alex. He said he was on the 3rd floor. Right.

Went down, and he
was there. (By the way, I used the stairs again this time. To hell with my aching feet.)

After class ended, headed for my car. Only problem is.. it was raining. And I don't have an umbrella. So, me and Munirah just wore our hooded jackets that we used in our air-conditioned-but-feels-like-winter-sometimes class. Funny thing.. our jackets ain't waterproof. So what's the point? I reached the car... soaked!

Night: Mommy had a date with her friend. Asked us (Dina, Jenna and me.) to accompany her so that she wouldn't feel awkward. We told her that we would meet her there at the Naili's restaurant. We had to go to our KJ apartment to get ready first.

I was coming down with a fever that night, so I was resting on our living room couch. Suddenly, I received a message from Mommy saying that it was cancelled. Oh. I could rest then.

Waited for Eddie and Tito to arrive. Dina did my make-up while we wait for them.
(I seriously don't know how to wear make-up. Laugh it up if you want to. It's just me.)

Loft: Before we went to Loft, we did a pit-stop to McD's because my tummy was craving for food. It was near midnight when weeached SS15 McD's drive-thru. I ordered nuggets and mineral water. Eddie ordered Chocolate Fudge Sundae and Tito ordered Strawberry Milkshake. Dina and Jenna were both full.

Reached Loft. Dina and Jenna were excited and a little nervous about going clubbing. They were club-Virgins until Loft came around. Lol. I was a bit nervous, too. Eu Jin's words were still stuck at the back of my mind. *You're under-aged.. You're under-aged.. Youre under-aged....*

The time came. The moment of truth. Can I enter? Or can I not enter?

I can.

Since Eddie knew the DJ there, DJ JD, we were practically on the guests list. So, we entered for free. Without needing to check our IC's. We got coupons for free drinks. So, it was sorta a free clubbing night. Great!

The crowd weren't so great at first, ut as th night stretched on, more interesting people arrived and made the party more happenin'.

I was having so much fun, that I didn't realize that I had created some kind of a freak-ish stalk-sarah fan club.
(I didn't know, but Dina and Jenna told me after we headed back home.) They said that I was being stalked by these guys who kept dancing behind me. Very closely behind me. I didn't know. (Because they were behind me. Duh!)

It was strange at first because Dina and Jenna always kept pulling me to them. They were doing that to protect me, I guess. But I could tell that Jenna was sorta not having fun because she had to baby-sit me most of them time. And Dina was my bodyguard. (Why???) It's not like I'm in danger or anything.

Met some new people. Some friendly, some not. As usual.

Met these two very cute brothers, Carliff Ridzwan and Rizal or is it Rizmal
(I'm not sure.), who are Malaysians but were raised in London. Now, they're back here in Malaysia. Carliff's bro is soooo cute!! I think I'm in love.. :p

Nearing to the end, DJ JD played some slow jams. Bryan McKnight - Back At One; Innuendo - Belaian Jiwa; and Mariah Carey, which the name of the song I forgot. Don't sound like much, right? Just slow love songs. But it was the highlight of the night because they turned on the lights and everyone, and I mean EVERYONE (Well.. except for the foreign people who don't know the lyrics for Belaian Jiwa), sang along to the song. It was funny. I danced with Tito after Dina danced with him. Tito's Dina's boyfriend, by the way. All five of us danced on the podium when they turned on the slow jams. It was fun and weird. Fun - because we were the center of attention. Weird - because we were the 'center of attention'. Get what I mean?

No? Too bad.

Ugh! My left eye is so cacat.

Dina, Carliff Ridzwan & Me. He's cute!

Rain & Dina

See? My left eye again. Sheesh!

Carliff, Tito & Eddie kickin' it to the beat.

Caught on camera.

On the podium

Ugh! I hate my eyes! Spoiled the picture already.

Save the best picture for last. Me & Carliff. He's adorable! I'm in lurve.. Lol

End of the night:
Met up with DJ JD and Raj to thank them for a fun night. Took pictures with the people we met.

As I was descending the stairs, Dina quickly told me to walk with Tito because the guy that was stalking me through-out the night was attempting to follow from the behind. At least, that's what she said la.
(I'm not tokok-tambah-ing if that's what you think.)

On the ride home, Dina and Jenna were explaining about all the guys who were trying to dance with us. The ones with guts and balls... and the ones wthout 'em. Lol. The ones without are the ones that danced closely behind us. Exhibit A : Freaky stalker-ish guy. Exhibit B : His friends.

It was quite scary, come to think of it. There were some other guys who wanted to dance with us. Who am I kidding, there were plenty tau. (And I'm not saying this just to belagak or anything.) It's true. It happened.

Eddie and Tito danced with other gals, we danced with other guys. Fun!

We reached KJ apartment, Eddie felt hungry. So we ate nearby at kedai mamak. Only Eddie drank and ate. The rest of us just drank. I was still feeling a bit under the weather, despite all the fun we had.

Eddie and Tito headed back. Us, girls had to freshen up. It was around 4am when we reached the apartment. After freshening up, had a session of our pillow talk then we slept. Dina had to go to work at 10am. So we only had like about 4 hours of sleep.
(Kinda sleepy right now.)

Okay, that's all that I can manage to summarize all the stuff that happened yesterday. All in all, it was fun.

adioz!~
