Forgetful Me.

Whoops! I was so busy blogging about my friend's engagement, I forgot to blog about this.

Ok, today I was supposed to go out with Izzet. He invited me out to eat at Chilli's.
(Chillie's? Chilie's? Cili? I don't know. Never been there before. Shocking, huh?) So, I was excited. I mean c'mon! I kinda like the guy, for crying out loud. Shhhh..... Don't tell anyone that, ok? Lol.

I was excited because we had been planning to go out for ages! Really, we always make plans.. but then had to cancel last minute either because of work, college, friends, family and stuff. So I thought, Finally! We can go out. But..... as usual. Ada je halangan.

I had picked out an outfit already. Twirled in front of the mirror. As though it was like my wedding dress or something. Lol. Kidding! I'm not like that at all. I just pick out an outfit and then that's it. No twirling. No dancing. No jumping with joy. Just pick it out, then I'm done. But of course the outfit's gotta match.

Anyway, as the morning sun slowly crept up to it's highest peak in the sky, then comes the afternoon. As afternoon came, so did my sudden pain attack in my stomach. No, it wasn't nerves. Or at least I think it wasn't. But yeah, it wasn't. It was the sponge cake from Wawan's wedding I ate a few days ago. The wedding was last year.... you catch my drift?

So, I had to cancel it with Izzet. As disappointing as it may sound, we got over it. We've grown accustomed to our "raincheckings". So, the so-called date was moved to tomorrow. I wonder what unforseen excuse is gonna happen tomorrow.

Since the "date" was cancelled today, I hung out with Afiq when I was feeling much better. He helped me pick out a present for Izzet. The Rush Chronicles, a DVD of their songs and concerts.

Ok, here's the deal. I didn't know what his fav band was. I thought it could be The Police or Rush or The Doors or all those other bands he introduced to me. Too much. I just didn't know which one. Afiq said that he did mention that he admires Rush's drummer, Neil Peart. Apa lagi... beli la.

Later on, he called. I didn't pick up so I called him back. I tried to sound as casual as possible when I asked about his fav band.

Sarah: Oh hey! You keep introducing these bands to me.. but I don't actually know which ones your favourite.

(Riiiight.. real smooth, Idiot!)

Izzet: Yeah? Well, it's The Police. (He couldn't see, but I was hitting my forehead on the other line.) The drums are cool!... blablablablabla... Roxanne... blablablablabla.....Message In A Bottle..."

Sigh... I should've gone with my first instinct. I knew he liked The Police because he would not stop talking about them. It's ok, thanks anyway, Afiq. At least he likes the drummer from Rush, right?

Anyway, I'm currently listening to the 3 CDs he gave me to listen to. I feel like a drum critc, where people send their demo CDs for me to criticize on. You know, like those food critics where they write their reviews in the newspaper and all... Ok. Nevermind. Ignore what I said.

Blink 182. Boring. Never really liked their songs.
Who's Box Car Racer? Sounds like Blink 182 a bit.
Goldfinger. Not bad. Catchy tune.
And the list just goes on and on.

Okay, I gotta go now.

Ciao!~
