Dear Reader,
I'm waiting for my Mom to get ready to go to our next house for Raya. While waiting, I feel that I should blog a little to at least update you on what's been going on. (Especially to update you, Anwar.)
Okay, so yesterday was a great first day. I was really into the moment of the first day. Usually, I would be like "Yeah, yeah, yeah. First day. Let's get it over and done with. Where's the money?". Sounds mean but yeah that's what I always say.
This, somehow rather it's more meaningful. I don't know if it's either because I'm getting older or maturer (Yeeeeaaahhh riiiiigghhhttt...) or it's because I know that my grandparents and parents are getting older. :(
Makes me sad everytime I think about it. But its life. No one lives forever. No one is forever young. They may be young at heart, but not young physically. I want to cherish every moment with them if I could. If I could. I actually had tears in my eyes when I did the salam-ing session. Tearful moment. Ugh!~ I'm so emotional during Raya! I love my family so much, that's why!
First thing we did, like a tradition for our family, was go to Nenek Noriah's house in USJ. She's not family, but she's like family. She's Tok Mum's oldest best friend. They're practically sisters by now. The food they serve there are delicious! Sadly, I had to do major portion control because there were plenty of food to be eaten on that day. Dang it!
One of the uncles there is an experienced lawyer. My Mom had told him that I would be going to UK next year but was still unsure as to which university to choose from. So, some advice were shared. Some. I still have plenty of factors to consider before making a decision. The ultimate one being money.
After that, we had to go back in a hurry because Uncle Abbie and family and Adel, Maria and family was already there. It was a good thing that Mak Lang was around to help out at home when we were at Nenek Noriah's. Not forgetting Mak Sue and family, too.
It was a festive feeling for Toks, if not for me, I believe. Almost all their children were there. Excluding Uncle Sani and Uncle E. We took lots of pictures. Hope to upload them into Facebook soon, but just not yet because I'm a bit busy at the moment.
Anwar called yesterday (Hi Anwar!!! How are you? How's your Raya there? Kirim salam Raya to the girls, Uncle Sani and Aunty Fatimah!!) didn't get the chance to talk to him because we had to leave for Nenek Noriah's. I bet you missed her cooking, huh? Well, we missed you!
Later on we went to Dad's place. Got our duit Raya. Yes! Thanks Daddy! Met up with Aunty Nurie and her family. It was weird. Almost everyone was wearing the color purple as though it was the theme for this year or something. Ssstrrraaaannngggeee.
Uh-oh. My time is almost up, dear Reader. Everyone is just about done with their make ups and stuff.
Okay, hmmm... what else do I want to tell you? *Thinking hard*
Uhhh... Let me see................................................................................. Oh okay! Met up with Mommy's guy friend. He's such a GIANT! Uncle Salleh. So tall! LOL. Funny.
Mommy's boss was so nice. He gave her a cheque of RM1000 for Raya. You rarely get bosses like these nowadays, am I right?
I wish I could upload some photos here but I can't because they usually shrink the photos that I've uploaded, which makes them completely useless to save and see. So, you'd have to wait until I've uploaded them in Facebook, okay? Okay.
Lola was a fool. (I had to say it! HAHAHA)
Since there would be a lot of eating to do... I decided to strike an equilibrium (I don't actually know why I'm using this word.) by doing a fair share of exercising. I must have a healthy way of balancing my life, right? Right.
Seriously, I think I've put on a few just on the FIRST day. And we all know that Raya is not just ONE day of the month, right? That's why, I'VE GOT TO CONTROL!
Allllllrightey then. I gotta go now. Leaving soon. I can't believe I'm wearing something I'm hating right now. How can a girl wear something she feels sooo uncomfortable in, yet smiles as though everything's A-Okay? Beats me. I feel like changing, but this family is very strict on coded-dressings. Oh! Did I say family, I meant to say "SISTER". :p
Take care, dear Reader.
SELAMAT HARI RAYA MAAF ZAHIR BATIN TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY!!!!! Have a good one! In case you don't celebrate, HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY!!!
Better buckle up if you're going on a long journey back home. Dangerous times.
Love,
Leanna Darwin.
XOXO
P.S. Jenna got the Doll Domination for her birthday from her buddies. She got the Doll Domination T-shirt along with it!! Lena adored it, so she bought the CD and got herself a T-shirt, too!!! I'm so jealous! All I have is the "Don't 'cha wish your girlfriend was hot like me" hoodie jacket and PCD Vans. Hahaha!~ So what? I'm freakin' greedy when it comes to PCD.
Their new album is a B.O.M.B.!!! If you don't have it... GET IT NOW!! You won't regret it, I swear it. I estimated about 8 or even 9 songs in a row that are great! Please, please, please pretty please get it, okay?
Ciao!~
